Echolis holds some of the most sensitive things a person can write: wounds, fears, the parts you have never shown anyone. Privacy here is not a compliance page. It is the precondition for honesty, so this page is written to be read.

What we store

When you use Echolis with an account, we store on our servers:

Guest reflections store nothing. If you try Echolis without an account, your words exist only in that response and are gone when you leave.

What we never do

We never train AI models on your writing. Your reflections are processed by our AI providers (Anthropic for responses, OpenAI for search embeddings) solely to generate your session. Under their API terms, that data is not used to train their models either.
We never sell or share your data. No advertising, no brokers, no third-party analytics. The only measurement we do is a first-party, cookie-free event counter (page visited, reflection completed) tied to a random id, never to your writing.
Deletion is real. Delete your account in Settings and everything above is permanently removed from our database: reflections, summaries, memories, patterns, feedback. There is no archive we could restore it from.

Your story belongs to you

You can export everything at any time from Settings, not as a data dump but as a readable document: your reflections, what each part said, and the patterns that emerged, in order. It stays legible and meaningful even if you never open Echolis again. We would rather be chosen every month than be difficult to leave.

If you share with a practitioner

Hard moments

If what you write signals an acute crisis, Echolis stops the parts simulation and answers in one plain voice with grounding and human resources. Those messages are handled with care and are not mined for patterns or insight.

Honest limits of a prototype

Echolis is an early product built by a very small team. Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database, encrypted in transit; we are working toward at-rest and user-held-key encryption as described in our roadmap. Echolis is not therapy, not diagnosis, and not for users under 18.
